Vero Leopoldino
 

Vero Leopoldino is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and performer.
In 2008 she founded Aquarela Dance, the first company in Birmingham to dedicate itself solely to Brazilian dance;
with the desire to develop the understanding and appreciation of various forms of Afro-Brazilian music and dances.
She teaches regular Samba drop-in classes in Birmingham, as well as delivering workshops and performances at
corporate and private events.

Vero has grown up with the sounds and rhythms of Brazilian and Latin American music and culture.
Since graduating from University she has dedicated her life to training and specialising as a Brazilian Samba
teacher and performer both in the UK and in Brazil.

Vero is also heavily involved in the promotion of Brazilian culture in the West Midlands.
She is the co-organiser of the successful Brazilian social night ‘b.BRAZILian’ in Birmingham which she runs
with her partner Samuel Mascote o
f Cordão de Ouro Birmingham.
She often works with Cordão de Ouro as a Capoeira performer and assistant teacher.  

Through her work with Brazilian arts she hopes to inspire, stimulate interest, and provide a means for
community involvement with Brazilian culture.
